Melissa (Miss) holds a degree in communications, as well as a certificate in international achievement from Mount Royal University. Her work has been published by JSource, The Calgary Journal, Pulse Studios, The Institute for Community Prosperity, among others. Miss has also written a short story that was published in Take Flight, a collection of stories written by local Albertan authors. Not only is she a writer she is also a photographer, a designer, an editor, a researcher, and a dancer. She has been a part of the Calgary dance scene for roughly five years, although she’s been grooving on her own since she can remember. Starting in the dance crew, Flomatk, she later grew to help create The General Public (a Calgary based crew). Miss has found a true passion for many street-focused dance styles but has fallen in love with hip hop and vogue femme.
